What is the direct discount model?

The Direct Discount Model is an approach for managing the discounts health care providers receive on covered outpatient drugs through government drug pricing programs, starting with the 340B program. This model establishes a direct connection between health care providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to facilitate the discount management process and makes it easy to submit and manage claims. For instance, instead of purchasing 340B drugs through wholesalers after accumulation, covered entities receive 100% of the discount through cash replenishment, paid to them directly from pharmaceutical manufacturers for each individual dispense.

As a covered entity, are there fees to participate in this model or to use Truzo?

There is no fee to use Truzo as a covered entity.

How does this work with Max Fair Price?

We are a purpose-built solution that scales to MFP effectuation, both on its own and in its overlap with other programs. Regardless of the MTF, we handle a different subset of the capabilities to effectuate discounts — including data ingestion, discount calculation, and payment within the 14 day window.

I’m an existing Kalderos customer. What does Truzo mean for me?

Truzo is our cross-program drug discount management platform that powers all our technology solutions. Our existing customers continue to have access to the solutions they’re leveraging today, and they all are a part of the greater Truzo platform. We are expanding our capabilities beyond duplicate discount identification to greater end-to-end capabilities. Current customers can discuss these additional capabilities with their Kalderos representative.
